Reasons Why Material Manufacturers Make Design Changes | The Importance of a Trust-Based Relationship with On-Site Personnel

Hello, everyone

This is Enta.

Something unfortunate happened a little while ago.

Too bad

Well, to put it simply,Not trustedSo that's how it is, lol

Especially when it comes to design.

In our case, whenever we’re brought in as a first-tier subcontractor, we always review the design calculations before beginning construction.

And, if there are no particular issues, we’ll proceed with construction while coordinating with the general contractor. (It’s just standard procedure, lol.)

At that site, construction was about 70 percent complete at that stage,

Even though (we) have finished drawing the revised plans and they have been approved,

Manufacturers who aren't familiar with the site are reviewing our work and issuing instructions (to change quantities).

It seems the general contractor showed the drawings to the materials manufacturer for double-checking.

What's the point of checking with the manufacturer when the drawings are already finalized!?

And it’s hilarious that the materials manufacturer is giving drawing instructions to the general contractor, bypassing the supplier, lol.

I'm just speechless lol

Normally, the materials manufacturer should discuss the matter with the customer while they are still a customer, and

I’m thinking maybe I should ask for permission or something.

I guess it’s just because the general contractor says so, but it doesn’t quite sit right with me lol

Also, I can’t help but wonder if increasing sales figures from behind a desk without actually visiting the site is—some kind of sales strategy?

It actually happens quite often that material suppliers end up on the construction companies’ bad side this way, leading to design changes the next time around.

I find myself wondering, “Why don’t you just say something?” (Since this has never happened to me before.)

So that’s why material designs get changed, huh? (Being a salesperson is tough.)

I have absolutely no intention of trying to curry favor with the people in charge on site, but,

What I hate most is being treated unfairly without the person in charge on-site even knowing about it.

Learning About New Technologies in Entertainment

Well, that's what happened, lol.

It may be that we gave the impression that we lacked technical expertise or credibility, and,

Maybe I just don't get along with the person in charge on site. (Oh well, that's just how it is, lol.)

I think when something like this happens, it’s a good opportunity to motivate myself to work even harder. (It won’t break my spirit, lol.)

I am truly committed to providing the general contractor with the technologies and construction methods best suited to the site.

We intend to continue conducting thorough design reviews and ensuring proper construction management moving forward.

See you later.
