Documents I Want to Obtain from the Government Office

以前ある現場の仮設アンカーでアンカー体長(定着長)が11.5mあったんです。

However, the standard maximum length for an anchor body is 10 meters or less.
(From the Ground Anchor Design and Construction Standards, p. 67–)

I've never seen a design where the height is set at 11.5 meters.

With standard design software, this would normally be rejected, but...

Well, this was a bit of a problem in its own right, but I explained the situation to the general contractor for now.

I was told to scan the book, submit it to the local government office, and redesign it to be less than 10 meters.

Then,Since we’re bidding on and winning contracts with this, you’ll just have to make it work with this design.

That was a surprising answer, lol

 

最近の役所ってこんなの多い感じがします。

が、それはもうしょうがないので。

恐らくですが、設計が間違っている事を指摘されたくない？

もしくはコンサルへの差し戻しするのが嫌なのでしょう。

The reason why the tension cannot reach the design load under these conditions (possibility of failure?) and

I will explain why there aren't enough anchors when the anchor length is shortened due to insufficient load capacity.

Naturally, since the number of anchors will increase, the cost will go up.

I won't know exactly how much it will increase until I do the calculations, but I'll submit it with that in mind.

 

As part of the procedure for on-site meetings, if any issues arise, we will first notify the relevant parties verbally and then submit a written report, such as a meeting minutes.

In such cases, items that are inconvenient for the government office may be refused.

A veteran director I know is so thorough that he even records the audio... (This is just my personal opinion, though.)

If the request is denied, it is necessary to arrange a meeting with the chief supervisor, section chief, and others.

This means you need a reason to refuse.

 

When making changes or holding discussions, it is essential to have solid evidence to back them up.

In particular, reference materials such as specialized books are absolutely essential, so please make sure to have them ready.

In addition, design calculations and other documents may be required.

Please be sure to attach the cost estimate documents as well.

With this in hand, you’ll have official instructions from the government, so you can proceed with the construction with confidence.

 

Government agencies, consulting firms, and construction companies are all run by people, so they make mistakes.

As long as we acknowledge that and make adjustments to create something good, that's fine.

Just for that alone, the director puts an incredible amount of effort into preparing the paperwork. lol

Being a site supervisor is really tough, isn't it!

後日談で、この現場のコンサル担当者はそれ以外のミスで当現場から外され居なくなり。。。

想像を絶するミス過ぎて瑕疵まで発生し大問題になった事は秘密です。。。
