Methods for Hoisting a Drilling Rig onto a Slope (Part 1)
This is Part 2 of moving the machine up the slope.
Last time, we looked at the mobile cranes that are commonly used.
This time, it's about cable cars.

I'm sure some of you are thinking, "What is this?"—but this is what it is.

It’s a method of transporting loads by installing a main wire at a higher elevation than the work surface and using it as a guide wire.

As you can see from the illustration above, there is a large winch installed in the lower left corner, and that is the power source.
Using the main wire as a pivot, the carrier is moved back and forth (toward the mountain side and toward the valley side) by a winch.
Also, the winch has two types of cables: one for moving the carrier back and forth, and one for raising and lowering the hook.
The image of transporting a suspended load is,
1. Use the return wire to raise the carrier directly above the machine.
2. Lower the hook using the hook wire and hook it onto the lifting ring of a core drill or similar equipment.
3. Use the hook wire to lift the hook.
4. Use the return wire to move the carrier toward the mountain.
5. Once you reach the top of the scaffolding on the slope, stop and lower the machine using the hook wire.

Let's assume there is a situation like the one described above.
The most important thing about this cable car is,
Machinery and materials can only be unloaded while the wire is taut, and
And thenIt can only be lowered directly beneath the parent wire.That's right.
Since the main wire cannot be easily moved from side to side, it is generally installed right in the center of the construction face, and
Construction is carried out by moving materials and machinery sideways from side to side.
Also, steep slopes are really scary, so I try not to lift heavy things as much as possible lol
It's seriously scary, especially when the price drops!
The fear you feel when hoisting and lowering a rotary percussion machine weighing nearly 3 metric tons is absolutely intense.
Government agencies and consultants just say, “Just use the cable car,” lol
When unloading cargo, it must be positioned directly beneath the main wire, which imposes various constraints.
For this reason, installing heavy objects such as load-bearing plates is extremely difficult in construction projects that use cableways like this.
