How do you move machinery?
This type of movement refers to situations such as when installing machinery from the ground up toward a slope.
For example, this refers to the method used to transport machinery from ground level (where the vehicle is parked) to the scaffolding at the top of the slope in order to install ground anchors.
It depends on what types of temporary structures are included in the construction plan developed by the consulting firm.
Generally speaking, it’s usually done by lifting it up with a crane, isn’t it?
However, there are quite a few situations where it simply isn't feasible to just blindly rely on mobile cranes.
Reasons Why We Can't Lift the Machine Using a Mobile Crane
1. The roads are narrow
2. The ground at the mobile crane's installation site is in too poor condition
3. Vegetation is so thick that the boom cannot swing from side to side.
4. The size of the machinery does not match that of the mobile crane
5. You can't even do a proper front lift (you have to lower it at a slight angle)
6. The slope is too steep
7. The slope of the embankment is too gentle
8. I can't get to the site (the vegetation is too thick or the area is too narrow)
9. Steep road gradients
and so on.
Well, basically, if it's too small, there's nothing you can do about it.
Check to see if the location allows the mobile crane's outriggers to extend to their maximum length.
It’s not very well known, but large mobile cranes are actually equipped with a lot of sensors.
That sensor is mounted in a pretty tricky spot, so it can break if a tree branch or something gets caught on it, lol.
Also, sometimes branches and leaves get stuck, and it stops moving.
There are a lot of them, especially on the jib.
Since the vehicle is more delicate than I expected, there might be times when I can’t make it to the site if there are obstacles along the way.
It’s also very important to consider factors such as what type of drilling machine to use, how heavy it is, and how long it is, etc., so
I think we'll end up using a mobile crane with that in mind.
