Lately, I've been getting more private-sector work, and it's kind of fun lol.

Wire Inspection
There is a checklist for inspecting wire ropes and other items at the worksite.

Actually, if it’s just a little bent, I’ll go ahead and use it. I know I shouldn’t, but I figure a little won’t hurt.
More than anything, I just think it's such a waste.
In my experience, it has never snapped. That’s because I tend to use wire that’s thicker than the load it’s carrying.
It’s just that I’ve been playing it safe, so it hasn’t run out yet.

This is really dangerous.
You absolutely must not use this.
It used to break quite often when I was using it to secure cargo instead of for hanging items.
I figured it would be fine and kept using it, but sure enough, when I tightened it with the lever block, it went “Bang!” and snapped.
Be sure to never use rusty wire!
And let's cut off the defective wire so it can't be used.
By doing so, you can prevent anyone from using it, thereby preventing secondary disasters.
