Resolve and a New Beginning in Our Ninth Year of Business | A Slope Construction Company Moving Forward with 13 Employees

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

A lot has happened since last week, and I've been worrying about various things and making all sorts of decisions.

This year marks my ninth year since I started my own company.

Our staff has been growing steadily, and we currently have 13 employees, including administrative staff.

And so far, everything has been going smoothly without any problems.

As usual, we receive an order, pass it on to our employees, and they handle the arrangements and carry out the work.

I thought this was normal.

But this isn't normal, is it?

I feel like I may not have shown enough gratitude and consideration toward my employees.

Before I knew it, I noticed that employees were discussing things among themselves that they couldn’t tell me—which isn’t really a problem in itself, but,

I feel like we had created an environment where people couldn't even talk about the fact that there was a problem.

He won't say anything unless I ask him. He won't answer. This is a very bad situation.

I myself am not always out on the job site working alongside the employees.

It's not always possible to fully understand our employees.

Ultimately, it stems from a lack of communication and my own negligence.

I really came to realize just how difficult it is to be a company that communicates effectively.

And also, are we at Enta Development currently in a transitional phase as we prepare to take the next step?

Has the need arisen to clarify the organizational structure?

I'm still inexperienced when it comes to business management.

To be honest, right up until now, I’ve been relying entirely on the assumption that my employees would somehow manage to get things done.

I feel like I’m finally being given the opportunity to become a competent business leader myself.

A company is its people.

It is because there are employees that a company exists; it is not because a company exists that there are employees.

I may have lost sight of that.

Personally, I assumed that the employees would understand even without me saying anything.

I figured I didn't need to say it.

Words are important.

If I don't say it, you won't get the message. I'm not a mind reader, after all.

I plan to keep sharing my thoughts and discussing things so that we can keep improving.

With renewed enthusiasm, I’ll be getting more involved starting today.

We will continue to disclose more information about the company.

I'm going to be completely transparent about the company's finances—whether a project was a huge profit or a massive loss.

We will disclose the company's current status, circumstances, and everything else to our employees.

As part of that, we plan to have the employees help determine the company's management philosophy.

Once we've decided, we'll announce it to everyone across the country.

I plan to lay everything out on the table and decide what to do from there.

It's a fresh start. I'm starting over.

This post has turned into a bit of a self-reflection, but I wanted to write it down so I wouldn't forget how I feel right now.

We look forward to your continued support.
