Summer Innovation | Grace Chemical FT7 Fresh Mortar Retarder

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

The Obon holiday is coming up this weekend, isn't it?

Please be very careful not to get injured until the Obon holiday!

But that's beside the point.

Summer Ingenuity

In the summer, you can get creative by adding this, right?

The reason is that this construction site purchases fresh mortar from a ready-mix plant, and

I installed the window frame, but the heat was so intense that working with the trowel was really tough.

It sets quickly in the heat, so you have to keep applying it with the trowel.

So, I added this.

What Is a Curing Retarder?

In the case of grout, if you add 2% of it,It doesn't set from noon until evening!

Generally speakingIt easily maintains liquidity for three hours.

The color looks something like this. It's not much different from the LeoBuild 4000.

However, the price is a bit on the high side.

As long as you mix it thoroughly (so there are no lumps), you usually don't need to wash the mixer.

When adding water the next time you make grout, just add it while stirring, and you should be fine.

It's the best when you use just one shot.No need to wash—just leave it as is!However, we will not be able to perform hair treatments on the day of your appointment.

I tried using it for spray application

Next up is mortar.

FT700N_3

I'm probably the only one who used it for spray application.

However, since it can be used for grouting, it can also be used for spray application.

It's an admixture for concrete, after all!

What are the right proportions for a successful trowel mix?

Formulation Testing

Time: Early September

Manufacturing Method: Fresh Mortar (Ready-Mix Concrete Plant)

Equipment used: Sanwa spray machine (engine-powered gun), 1 Belcon hose

Delivery distance: Up to 40 m (2 hoses)

Temperature: Around 30 degrees (daily average temperature)

Method of loading: Load directly into the ready-mix concrete truck

Measurement: OIL JUG

Mix Proportions: W/C = 55%, S = 420 kg, 1:4 mortar

Experimental Quantities: C × 0.2%, 0.5%, 0.7%, 1.0%

Per unit: 3.5 m³

Results

0.2%: No change

0.5%: Huh? Is this easier to pet or something?

0.7%: Hmm? Is it a bit loose? Not bad.

1.0%: Ah... this is pretty loose~

It's a craftsman's intuition, so it's hard to explain, lol.

However, for values of 0.2% or higher,It clearly took a long time to harden.By the way, its strength is quite ordinary.

Since it's summer, it's not unusual for the pressure to exceed 25 kN/mm².

Construction Costs

MoneyHowever, let's say, for example, that this product was purchased for 5,000 yen.
(Prices may vary by provider.)

If we think about it in terms of per cubic meter...

1 kg = 227 yen (5,000 yen ÷ 22 kg), ignoring specific gravity

1 m³ = 420 kg (cement) × ○○% =

0.21 TP3T = 0.84 kg × 227 yen = 191 yen increase
0.51 TP3T = 2.10 kg × 227 yen = 477 yen increase
0.71 TP3T = 2.94 kg × 227 yen = 668 yen increase
1.01 TP3T = 4.20 kg × 227 yen = 955 yen increase

If the legal limit is 300 and the legal limit is 1,000 m, and we simply multiply the loss by 1.2 to get 108 m³, then

Add this at a concentration of 0.5%.

At 477 yen per cubic meter, that’s 477 yen × 108 cubic meters = 48,276 yen

If you look at it from the perspective of innovative ideas for improving quality, is it actually surprisingly cheap??

Give it a try sometime lol

From a cost-effectiveness perspective,I think around 0.5% is the most economical option.

But even at 1%, it doesn't reach 100,000, does it...

See you later.
