You often hear about pressure issues with packers, don't you?

How much pressure should I apply?

Nobody knows this, right? lol

 

To put it simply, to the packer...Applying pressure and maintaining it at 0.2–0.3 MPa is safe and effective.That's it.

Packer Injection

There's a reason for this, but,

 

The packer itself has a pressure resistance of about 0.5 MPa.

If this limit is exceeded, the packer fibers will expand rapidly, causing the grout to leak out.

Therefore, there is absolutely no point in increasing the pressure beyond 0.5 MPa.

 

Next, at a pressure of around 0.5 to 0.6 MPa, the black injection hose (poly hose) will burst!

If the polyethylene hose bursts, it could cause a major disaster, so please do not increase the pressure beyond 0.5 MPa.

 

If we factor in a safety margin of about 30%, that comes out to roughly 0.3 MPa, so let's use that as the upper limit.

It is safer to set it to 0.2–0.3 MPaThat's it.

Some people may wonder, “Doesn’t it expand at 0.2–0.3 MPa?” but it actually expands sufficiently and reaches a dehydrated state.
