What are your senior colleagues and supervisors like at your company?

Aren't there people who think, "That's exactly what you call an 'old fogey'!!?" or who are just too proud to deal with it?

The other day, I came across an interesting post on X.

I'll just copy and paste the text.

"When I took a course on dementia, the instructor said, 'As we get older, our physical strength declines. Our mental energy declines, too. But our pride never does. No matter what happens, our pride is the one thing that absolutely never fades!'"

This is amazing, isn't it?

People's pride never goes away!!

If you think about it from your own perspective, it makes sense, doesn't it? lol

In other words, if you interact with people without hurting their pride, things will go smoothly no matter who you're dealing with.

To be honest, there are some craftsmen and supervisors who are a pain to deal with.

This person isn't a good fit for me, but since it's work, I have no choice but to deal with them.

In situations like that, the key to communicating effectively is to show respect for their pride.

So, what you're saying is that if you speak with respect, problems are less likely to arise.

I’m a bit of a nutcase myself, since I tend to just blurt out whatever’s on my mind, but,

I feel like if I just watch my pride, I'll be able to pull it off somehow lol

If it were my boss, coworkers, or senior colleagues, I could probably be a little more casual, but when dealing with people outside the company, I really have to be on my best behavior, lol.
