I had a day off, so I went hiking in the mountains.
But first, let's go on a tour around Everest!
I woke up at 4 a.m. and went to the airport.
The place was packed with Westerners.
People in light clothing were walking around the plane.
The others, who are heavily equipped, are heading to Everest Base Camp.
Are you perhaps planning to climb Mount Everest!?
Even a short trek costs around 300,000. (Staying in the Lukla area without climbing.)
Still, since it’s around 5,000 meters, there’s a risk of altitude sickness, isn’t there!?
And if you're going to climb Mount Everest, it's going to cost a fortune!
You can't make fun of mountain climbers, lol.
The Cost of Climbing Mount Everest

Mountain entry fee (climbing permit): Approximately 1.65 million yen → 2.25 million yen

An oxygen cylinder costs about 70,000 to 100,000 yen each. Each climber uses 5 to 7 cylinders on the way to the summit. Masks and regulators are also expensive.

I hardly ever take selfies, but I gave it a try lol
At that moment, I just thought, “That’s totally a work uniform!!!”...
Well, even so, it was really great.
You don't get to have an experience like this very often!
And what's most surprising of all is that there's actually a village right here in this area!!!
So many houses in the distance—it’s the kind of place that makes you wonder, “How the heck do I even get there?!!”...
It's a little hard to see, but I live in an amazing place...
I seriously thought, "I'd love to go somewhere like this!" lol
I guess no one would ever think that, though...
To get there, it seems you take a bus or something to get close, and then continue on by donkey, horse, or on foot...
It's way more amazing than I ever imagined, isn't it?
This sightseeing flight tour runs from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and I've heard that if the weather is extremely bad, the tour will be canceled and the fare refunded.

Since you almost never get to see Mount Everest right in front of you, I think it's a great experience.
