Following the same approach as last time,

When using D10 rebar with a 45D lap length,The overlap length is 450 mm.

 

Shift by L minutes.

Measure 450 mm, and then measure another 450 mm on top of that.

At first glance, it looks good because it's slightly offset, but,

When the ends of the rebar are aligned, it can cause cracks.That's how it works.

(Cracks are more likely to form along the red line)

I see this kind of thing in quite a variety of settings.

(e.g., cracks are more likely to form along the red line, or the material has low bending strength)

Please avoid using T-joints at all costs.

 

In my experience, if you take at least 40D of overlap and ensure there is sufficient space between the joints,

First of all, there's no problem.

If there's a part where you think, "This isn't quite right,"

All you have to do is create a large overlap in the rebar and ensure there is a sufficient overlap distance.

If you can't maintain the proper overlap distance, simply increase the overlap.

 

Reinforcing bars are also expensive.

However, if you determine that a section isn't entirely safe, go ahead and use plenty of rebar.

The cost per location is negligible.
