I think we’re always gathering information online.

In the past, when you wanted to buy a piece of equipment or find out about its specifications, you would call the manufacturer and have a sales representative come over, or

The most common practice was to have brochures and catalogs sent to you.

So, back then, information wasn't free, was it?

Costs were incurred due to the time people spent on it.

So, whenever a salesperson came by, I felt kind of guilty, lol (partly because I was young).

Internet Explorer was released shortly before I entered this industry (1995).

I was looking for a certain product and tried to download the catalog.

You can't download it unless you enter personal information, such as your company name.

What do you think of this? lol It was just the norm back then, though.

 

In this day and age, information is practically free.

This is especially true for brochures and catalogs.

First of all,It's important for people to knowThat's why.

I believe that once everything is made public, that’s when sales will begin.

 

That’s exactly why I’m being completely transparent and disclosing all the information.

However, in our line of work as directors, differences in interpretation and perspective can lead to subtle changes in our approach and methods.

Still, I think it will also serve as a way for me to check my own answers.

 

How many people in this world would be willing to disclose their personal information just to get a brochure like the one shown above?

When I search, 80% of the results are pages like that, so I quietly click the button in the upper right cornerX buttonClick here, lol

I might take a look if the product is incorporated into the design or if I absolutely have to, but

In practice, the standard procedure would be to call a trading company you have a business relationship with.

 

These days, whenever we look for something, we always use the Internet, but,

Since it's practically free, we take it for granted.

Put another way, this means that if it isn't free, people won't watch it.

So, I found something similar from that manufacturer, so that's fine, but,

 

Just writing this makes me realize that just because I couldn't download a single brochure or catalog,

I’m a little embarrassed that writing about my grievances on my blog reveals just how petty I am, lol.

As I write this, I’m starting to feel calmer. (I’ve written this far, so I’ll just post it, lol.)

I’ve been feeling bad about today’s post because it’s kind of a rant, lol.

I'm kind of sorry...

That said, the truth is...Valuable information comes at a costThat's right.

The point is, shouldn't product brochures at least be free?

However, there is one trick that lets you get around that.

Basically, that kind of system determines whether an email address is included.

It doesn't matter if the email address is correct or not, lol
