Is the reason torque wrench management never goes away because nuts come loose?

The other day, I went to a rebar installation site to perform tightening operations using a torque wrench.

 

It's about time they stopped this completely pointless management.

If you rely on torque settings to control tightening, there’s a good chance you’ll end up tightening the fasteners too loosely!

 

As I’ve mentioned many times on my blog, there are always areas with lower loads depending on the design.

In such cases, it is standard practice to convert the design load (Td) to torque and set the tightening torque to 50% of that torque.

If the torque is really low, it might even come loose if you turn it by hand lol

It's fine, really.

Since the rebar insertion method uses full anchorage, as long as the nuts are tightened, that should be fine for now.

 

However, if it were to come loose and fall off due to wear and tear or the car's vibrations, it would be a major problem.

So now, when it comes to tightening, we make sure it’s just tight enough so it doesn’t come loose.

That's whyJust tighten it securely with the clamp, and you're all set.That's the reason.

 

Well, if you tell me to do it, I'll do it, but if you ask me for details, I'll just say it's a waste of time lol

It can't be helped (since it adds up through cumulative calculation),

There's also the argument that I don't have to do the calculations... lol (Since it's already written down...)
