While Drilling
Basically, with double-pipe drilling, you can’t just let the drilling slurry drip all over the place (depending on the situation), so
Soil is discharged from the swivel through a suction hose into a ton bag (1-metric-ton sandbag or flexi-bag).
If it's too long, it might get stuck partway through, but if you use compressed air, you can blow it about 30 meters (or even farther).
However, if you release water and air at high pressure, the hose may whip around, and depending on the situation, there is a real risk that it could burst.
If you include these details in the work procedures manual, I think you’ll be fully prepared to handle any issues that may arise.
We recommend securing the section closest to the swivel as firmly as possible.
We also recommend choosing a suction hose that is as lightweight as possible and resistant to friction.
Our company uses Kanaflex (V.S. Kanaline A).
It’s generally sold in 50-meter rolls, and roughly speaking, it’s priced at around 2,000 to 2,500 yen per meter.
I use this hose because it's easy to handle and lightweight.
Some companies use delivery hoses designed for spray application.
Since the goal is the same, I think anything will do.
Collecting Slimes
As was mentioned before—and it caused quite a stir at the time—if you want to collect slime from the end of this hose, you can do so.
It might be a waste to collect Drilling Slimes.
It is up to the administrator to decide whether or not to accept it.
Whether I just grab a handful at random from a big bag full of slime or take a proper scoop, no one would ever know... lol
That's how meaningless it becomes.
