Explanation of the Inner Bit | Inner Bit for Dual-Pipe Drilling

I was making a mesh screen for cement on Sunday, but I got so absorbed in it that I forgot to take any photos.

That said, I'm really struggling with how difficult welding is.

Since I only do it once in a while, I'm not getting any better at all.

Welding is really deep, isn't it?


But that's beside the point.

Inner Bit

Regarding the bits used for drilling holes in double pipes for rotary percussion,

Since the outer layer is on the outside and the inner layer is on the inside, there are various types of inner bits as well.

Which bit are you using?

We generally use W-conical filters.

Rumor has it that it has a fast impact penetration rate lol (though I don't actually know for sure).

I just use it because it's convenient. (It seems to work well with a variety of soil types.)

There are even ones labeled "for hard rock," "for ultra-hard rock," "for super-hard rock," and "for super-super-hard rock" lol

This is my real name, lol.

The difference is that the harder the material being drilled (the type of rock), the softer the bit (cutting edge) becomes.

For soft areas, the standard option is fine, but

Using a standard bit on hard surfaces may cause the tips (the ridges on the bit) to wear down more quickly.

Alternatively, there are cases where drilling doesn't progress no matter how much time passes.

If you try drilling and find that the bit’s cutting edges are wearing down rapidly and the drilling progress is slow, you might want to consider switching to a carbide bit.

Please note that the inner bit is the main component for carbide applications.

There are also different sizes of chips, such as regular-sized ones and larger "Big Chips."

As expected, larger chips do offer better durability.

I conducted an experiment a while back where I tried out 12 different bits to see which one worked best.

Result: Drilling speed varies greatly depending on the mountain!

I really don't understand mountains, do I?

Geological conditions change rapidly from moment to moment.

Since you can't see inside, digging a hole is really hard.

I guess that's why it really puts a craftsman's skills to the test—it's not something you can just dig up easily.

 

It's all about how quickly you can identify the peaks and choose the right bits, isn't it?

Doing so has the potential to significantly increase the speed of construction.
