That machine was running like a charm just the other day!!
I've been feeling really under the weather ever since this cold snap hit the other day...
Up until then, I'd been drilling away at full speed, but for some reason, the engine started acting up.
It’s actually quite rare for machines to suddenly break down because of some minor issue.
Machines always show some kind of warning sign before they gradually break down.
It's true—this machine showed some warning signs, too.
As recently as last week, we were talking about how the sound seemed a little off.
That said, there was no way to fix it at that stage, so I just kept an eye on it and continued with the work.
On-site, things inevitably tend to go in the direction of “let’s just keep going for now if it seems okay,” don’t they?
That's what gradually leads to feeling under the weather, isn't it?
I think this might be another case of that sort, but I'll go check it out on-site today just to be sure.
First, I'll go through the steps while checking the things that can be verified easily.

There are many parts you can’t see even if you inspect them beforehand, so what do you rely on? Your ears.
If you hear a sound that's different from usual, you should pay attention to it.
Even if it's just your imagination, it's safer to be cautious just in case.
On a job site, you always have to keep an eye on all sorts of things.
As part of that, let's try paying attention to the sounds the machines make, too ^^
