Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
The other day, I tried Akashi-yaki for the first time in Osaka!

Unlike takoyaki, you eat it dipped in dashi broth.
Beat the eggs, add octopus, and fry the mixture into round patties, just like takoyaki.

It's done.
It's really light and refreshing, and the broth is delicious!

Looks like this is how you eat it lol
That was really delicious, wasn't it?
Apparently, in the region where Akashi-yaki is from, this is what they call tamagoyaki.
I bet people from Akashi would say this is the real deal when it comes to tamagoyaki, right? (Not that I know, lol)
Our job involves a lot of business travel, so we get to try foods from all kinds of regions.
This, too, is a way of buying an experience.
It’s definitely better to have experience than not to have it, and the same goes for work.

On Sunday, one of our employees was replacing the bit on the down-the-hole hammer that our staff takes to the job site.
If I had been there, I could have gone to help, but since I was in Osaka, I couldn't, so it seems he did it all by himself.
He had explained the general procedure, but it seems he had quite a hard time with it.
To those in the know, it's no big deal.
However, there are a lot of things you only realize when you try this for the first time.
And the joy you feel when you finally finish it is off the charts!
Doing something for the first time is just that great and wonderful. That's the thing.
You only get to experience that once, you know?
It’s an incredibly precious and special first and last time.
As with anything, the joy you feel when you accomplish something tends to fade away in the course of daily life.
I hope you’ll remember the excitement and joy you felt when you tried this for the first time and succeeded.
Even small things are important.
In the future, I’ll need to teach this to my juniors and subordinates.
I’d like you to teach me how to feel that sense of wonder, too. (Approach things with a beginner’s mindset.)
See you later.
