I think last time we used the method of building cantilevered scaffolding.

I wrote that if the distance is too far, you can build a ramp to get there.

 

This time, we'll be using the direct lift method.

This is the case when the space is too small or there isn't enough room to build a ramp, for example.

This is how to lift the machine vertically.

Simple Scaffold

This is it!

 

We'll set up a simple scaffold and use a chain hoist to lift the machine straight up.

Of course, you’ll need to build a scaffold that can securely hold the machine and withstand the load.

 

However, based on my experience, I've only managed to do this twice.

There were times when even a mobile crane couldn't get in (or reach the site), so we resorted to this as a last resort.

The key to building this structure is to focus above all on making the scaffolding sturdy.

Chain Hoist

We recommend using a chain hoist with a capacity of about twice the lifting load.

 

During the hoisting process, place a single pipe under the machine approximately every 1 meter as it rises, and

If I do fall, let's hope it's only that bad! (I absolutely must not fall.)

Please make sure absolutely no one goes down there, and safety harnesses are mandatory!!

Use the thickest possible lifting wires from the chain block, etc.

New things are nice because they give me a sense of security.

 

It’s best to take your time with the installation, planning to spend about a day on it.

It's hard to tell how much the construction will cost, so it would be awesome if you could significantly increase the amount of scaffolding for that part lol

If there's no other choice, you can do it this way.

It can be pretty scary to work with a contractor you've never dealt with before, but you can definitely do it if you give it a try ^^

By the way, for drilling rigs weighing more than 1 metric ton, the location where the chain block is attached to the derrick is extremely important.

Since a single pipe arranged in a triangular shape is very dangerous, assemble it into a square shape.

It is much safer to use H-beams, such as 100H, on top of that.
