Lately, I've been using AI to create financial statements and plans.
I mentioned the stability calculations for scaffolding a while back—I’m working on automating those using AI so they can be calculated automatically. (It’s still just for personal use at this point.)

Why make it free?
With the advent of AI,We’ve entered an era where “anyone can create” specialized calculations and plans.
Of course, you need some knowledge.
If you leave it entirely up to AI without any prior knowledge, you might end up with some outrageous numbers.
However, as long as you have the basic knowledge,
Calculations that used to require the help of an expert can now be done on your own.
This is the reality we face today.
Drawing on my experience as a slope engineer over the past 30 years, I plan to continue sharing the plans and calculations I’ve created.
Products that today’s site supervisors and craftsmen can use without incurring unnecessary costs.
Things you can quickly calculate or check right on the spot using your smartphone, without having to open your computer every time
What I'm working on right now is,
Cost Management Anyone Can Do, Scaffolding Material Quantity Calculations, Control Charts, and Quick-to-Create Implementation Budgets (Already on my computer; currently being adapted for the web)
I'm working on features like quotes (with easy comparison and graphing against past quotes), super-simple stability calculations (this part's tricky), easy material calculations, and monthly financial statements generated via OCR scanning, and more lol.
I'm working on them one by one, so I guess they'll be done eventually... lol
Do you use AI at work?
Do any of you use AI at work?
When you're working on-site, it's easy to think, "AI? That has nothing to do with me," but it's actually incredibly useful.
Specifically, here's what we do.
・Preparation of financial statements and plans(Cement-milk mixture, scaffolding stability calculations, etc.)
・Construction estimates, accounting summaries, and document summaries(Preparing draft documents for construction records, bank meetings, etc.)
・Verification of numerical values in drawings(Quantity Verification Process)
Especially when it came to planning, the time I spent writing everything from scratch wasIt feels like less than halfIt has become.
Personally, what I appreciate the most are features like quantity takeoff assistance and calculating quantities from drawings—basically, all the calculation-related functions are incredibly useful!
If I were still an office worker, I’d definitely use this for internal documents lol
For example, a summary of which job sites were visited, overtime hours, and construction hours.
Things like daily vehicle logs are a pain, but they make us fill out all these necessary forms.
I'm creating this blog with the help of AI, too.
As I've mentioned before, I have an AI create the illustrations for this blog.
I don't know...It looks just right—I like it.That's right, lol
I think it’s easier to read than text alone because the illustrations are incorporated in a way that feels like photographs.
As for the writing, I write the entire piece first, and then have the AI proofread it for awkward phrasing, typos, and missing characters.
Don't you think there are fewer typos and missing characters these days compared to the past? lol
Well, I don't think it's completely zero, so just take it with a grain of salt, lol.
I'm leaving the weird drawings as they are.
I'm looking forward to seeing this turn into a perfect painting eventually.
In fact, I can clearly see that changes are taking place as I use it every day.
It's not that AI is taking our jobs, but rather...
I often hear people say things like, “AI is going to take our jobs.”
But from a contractor's perspective,Only humans can stand on a slope with a shovel in hand at a construction site.That's it.
This is especially true for slope construction.
Drill holes, inject grout, erect formwork, and apply shotcrete.
It'll be a while before AI can do this. (No way, it can't do that, right!? lol)
What today's AI excels at is,Paperwork, Calculations, and ResearchThis is the area.
In other words, AI takes over the time that site supervisors and foremen would otherwise spend on paperwork.
That means I'll have more time to visit the worksite.
This is a win-win for both quality and safety, isn't it?
I think it would be a shame not to use it.
Use a tool to the fullest while it's still usable.
What's more, AI is, after all, nothing more than a collection of memories—including both lies and truths from the past.
The sense of the field that has become second nature to us, the atmosphere of the field that we can feel on our skin.
On-the-job experience and the knowledge it brings are assets that cannot be handed over to AI.
