"Survey on Actual Wage Levels in the Private Sector" (National Tax Agency), which covers salaried workers, including non-regular employees

The average annual income (average annual salary) in 2015 was approximately 4.2 million yen (including allowances and bonuses).

"There is a significant difference depending on the industry, ranging from 2.36 million yen (lodging and food service industries) to 7.15 million yen (electricity, gas, heat supply, and water supply industries)."

So, what about us in the construction industry? For young and mid-career workers (the age group that works the hardest), salaries range from 3 million to 5.5 million.

I think that's about right.

I hear that the big companies these days pay out decent bonuses, so it seems like a pretty good deal, lol.

So, where are the non-regular workers?

With such a severe labor shortage, I really think the construction industry is a great place to work...

After all, I'm enrolled in the 100% social insurance program!

Furthermore, there are very few companies that accept foreign technical interns.

According to a survey on the employment of foreign technical trainees, more than 60 percent of respondents reportedly said that it is ultimately difficult.
