Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
The other day was the Spring Equinox.
There was a construction site where they said, “It’s the Autumnal Equinox, so we’re taking the day off!” lol

It's hard to believe this is happening in the middle of the week... I'm really surprised.
Hey, main contractor, that's not right...
But that's beside the point.
The construction industry is aiming for a two-day weekend going forward lol
I know this feels a bit late in the game, lol
This isn't a bad development in and of itself, so I welcome it, but if the number of workdays decreases, what else will decrease?
That's right! Salaries will go down. No doubt about it. (This is also shown in the results of a survey by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.)
Apparently, working a two-day weekend reduces your pay by around 30,000 yen.

Even if you can't take time off during the week, you still want to rest on the weekend, right? (lol)
But I can’t help but wonder, “Do we really need two days off every week?”
I enjoy my job, so once a week is enough for me, but for special events, I think it’s fine to take three consecutive days off instead of just two.
In short,It's important to have an environment where you can take a break whenever you need toThat's the point.
Can you take time off from your company whenever you want?
I think most people would probably say it's impossible.
Isn't it okay to say, "I'll work hard this month so I can take a long weekend next month"?
All you have to do is switch from the flex-time system to the flex-day system—it’s really that simple.
Once you get married, you want both time off and money. When you work, you have less time off but more money. The opposite is also true.
Wouldn't it be solved if people just adjusted their work and rest months on their own? lol
Well, people who want money but don't want to work are an exception, though...

At our company, too, we're asked to give a week's notice for time off. That way, once everyone knows about it, they can adjust their schedules accordingly.
That's actually what we do at our house.
We're making adjustments on-site so that operations can continue smoothly even if that employee is absent.
In the worst-case scenario, we'll talk to the general contractor and shut down the site.
Personally, I’d like to prioritize employees’ vacation time, but in that context, unexcused absences are the biggest problem.
Unauthorized absences really get on my nerves, lol.
I’m all for having two days off a week, but if I had to choose,I would like you to promote an environment where people can take time off whenever they need to.That's right.
