Today's update is a little late, lol.

I usually schedule my posts the day before.

So, I've set it to display at 8:00 a.m.

However, if I don't have time to write the post the day before, I post it later when I have time (or when I'm able to).

Things have been really busy on-site lately, and I’ve been going back and forth between the office and the site a lot, so it’s been tough.

Next week, I'll be drilling a 50-meter-long drainage well as part of the operation lol.

So updates might be a little delayed for a while... lol

The Vietnamese technical interns have finally arrived at our company!

I finally went for an interview last year.

So, how should we go about communicating?

That was the biggest hurdle, but this is just the way things are these days, right!?

It's a SourceNext product, isn't it?

I've known about this company for a long time; it's a company that releases all kinds of useful software.

So, I like software companies that I'm familiar with.

 

Speech recognition has gotten especially good lately, so it picks up Japanese perfectly!

It can translate that into 74 languages, so it's the best out there right now!

The price is a little over 30,000 per unit.

And we used it on the Vietnamese technical interns who joined our company!!!

 

Would you believe it—we actually understood each other!! I thought to myself at the time, “Our communication is perfect!”

However, there was a drawback.

I think that's probably the case, but,It doesn't recognize dialects? lol

Vietnamese dialects?? The speech recognition software doesn't recognize the Vietnamese they speak lol (Or maybe it just can't?)

 

So, it’s this really bizarre scene where I translate Japanese into Vietnamese, they understand it, and then they reply in Japanese lol

Actually, when I think about it, the Poketalk doesn't recognize me when I speak in the Kagoshima dialect.

As long as you speak standard Japanese, it will recognize your voice without any problems.

I guess dialects do get stronger the further out into the countryside you go, even overseas, lol.

 

If Kagoshima doesn't work out, then Tohoku probably won't either, lol. The dialect is pretty strong there, lol.

However, so far, being a technical intern has been a lot of fun.

I hope they’ll get used to life in Japan quickly and have a good time.

We will also be sending you information regarding technical intern trainees.
