The other day, I was at a spray-applied coating job site, and I was thinking about how to make test specimens—or rather, that thing I mentioned last time about removing the mesh, lol.
How to Prepare Test Specimens for Sprayed Concrete and Mortar
Since I was able to take some photos,
Make a circular gill net with a mesh size of 200.
Just secure it with a cable tie (this is important!).
Then spray as usual.
After about an hour (give or take, but before the surface hardens), loosen the cable ties and remove the mesh.
By doing this, the material can be disposed of as non-reinforced concrete debris after the core is removed.
If rebar is included, the material becomes reinforced concrete, which will affect the industrial waste disposal fees.
I think the amount will change by about 20 percent.
It may seem like a small thing, but in the long run, it’s the accumulation of these little things that leads to profits.
Do any of you have any little money-saving tips like this?
To be honest, people might think I'm being cheap, but I think it's an important issue.
