Why Use Amazon for On-Site Purchases?
To start with, most of our job sites are in the mountains, aren’t they? It’s not uncommon for a round trip to a home improvement store to take an hour by car.
By the time I realize, “I’m missing that!” it’s already too late lol. If I stop what I’m doing to go buy it, my whole schedule for the day goes out the window.
That's where Amazon comes in.
Depending on the area, if you place an order in the evening, it will often arrive the next day.
If you have them delivered to your office or lodging, the time spent traveling to go shopping will be virtually zero.
It comes down to which is more cost-effective: having one craftsman stop what they’re doing to handle consumables and small items, or just clicking a button to place an order and getting back to their main work.
It just goes to show that using the time you save to plan things out is far more beneficial for the job site.
