Do you know the minimum installation area for a frame-type unit?
What I'm trying to say is, how close to the structure behind can we work on a narrow job site?
With steep slope stabilization work, the space is super tight, you know~ lol
You design with a mindset like, “I’m a designer—I can handle this, right?” or “I’ll just figure it out on-site later!” lol
I think that's fine lol
We'll handle the rest on-site, so if there are any design changes, we'd appreciate it if the design team could kindly approve them ^^
Well, as long as it's a reasonable design change, lol (since there are some pretty stupid ones out there too).
In my experience, the minimum width for spray application is just enough to fit one person plus a little extra!
It's incredibly tough, but we'll manage somehow.
Since we’ll need to protect the private homes behind the site, it’s sufficient to have enough space to set up steel pipes and drape a blue tarp over them.
That means the space for the single pipe (0.2 m) plus the width of a person's shoulders (0.5 m) equals 0.7 m.
If there's about 70 cm of space, we can manage to spray it on!
Some people might say, “There’s no way that’s possible!!!” but I actually did it lol
That said, I just did it because I had no choice.
Depending on the situation, we might just mix the mortar by hand right there, using a bucket to catch it.
(The craftsmen may not like it, but that's part of the job.)
If I can't do it, I'll find a way to make it happen.
That's our job, after all.
Don't give up—be creative and do your best to make it work. If that still doesn't work, then we'll have to change the design or switch to a different construction method for certain parts.
Basically, if someone can get to the slope, we can figure it out; and in the worst-case scenario, as long as the hose reaches, we’ll manage somehow lol (I won’t even mention how it looks).
We can’t proceed with construction unless we’re given a clear breakdown of the protective measures costs, so I’d prefer if you included this in the direct labor costs rather than classifying it as “general temporary facilities.”
I always think that slope contractors are truly versatile.
