I didn't think anything of it at the time, and it certainly was easy.

The reason is that my senior was there.

But in reality, construction management is really tough.

The hardest part about construction management is, first of all, the long hours, lol.

What's more, just like with any craft, it takes quite a long time to master.

And experience is extremely important.

In particular, a construction manager becomes more capable the more failures they experience.

Job Responsibilities of a Construction Manager

• Construction Plan (We develop the plan based on the results of the site survey.)
• Submission of Applications for Approval of Materials Used, Quality Certificates, etc.
• Submission of Sub-Subcontracting Notices, etc.
• Site Office Planning and Temporary Facilities Planning
• Notification to the Labor Standards Inspection Office, etc. (if required)
• Cost Management (We prepare budgets and determine what to purchase, where to purchase it, and in what quantities, based on the design.)
• Project Management (A plan specifying when to begin and when to complete the project)
• Photo Management (Taking photos from the moment you board until the trip is over)
• As-built inspection, quality control, and schedule management based on the construction plan
• Monthly Cost Management
• Daily Safety Management
• Preparing documents for government agencies (meeting minutes, consultation documents, performance reports, approval requests, etc.)
• Response to Issues (Including Complaints, etc.)
• Construction documentation, photographs, electronic submissions, etc., upon completion of construction
• Final Cost Accounting
• Final Inspection (Action to Be Taken if Corrections Are Required)
