I'm not sure if it's okay to write this publicly, but I'm going to take the plunge and write it anyway!
Our technical intern ate some beef, and...
"They said, 'This is so damn good! I should've eaten it sooner!'"
I also thought, "It must be really hard for them when it comes to food and stuff because of their religious beliefs," and so on,
He said he didn't want them to serve beef or anything like that for meals at guesthouses and the like.
But!
I'm done with that now lol
I thought, “I’d like to help her get used to Japan a little bit and let her eat lots of delicious food.”
I'm not saying you have to, but maybe take her out for some yakiniku or something.
When I asked them, they said they wouldn't buy it themselves, but if someone offered it to them, they'd accept it. (They actually like it, if anything.)
That's what I've heard.
I'm sure there are religious factors involved, but,
In a free country like Japan, I feel like those rules could be relaxed a bit, but ultimately, it’s up to each individual to decide.
If there are people at your company who cannot eat certain foods for religious reasons, please be sure not to force them to do so.
However, if they want to eat it, please by all means let them.
Children from all over the world say that Japanese food is delicious.

Since they’ve come all this way as technical interns, please take them to see all sorts of places.
I think teaching about food culture would be a good part of the hands-on training.

I think I ate it.
If you feel even a little bit that your life in Japan was good, that would be the best thing ever.
Seeing them leave next week makes me feel a little sad, but I hope they’ll think of Japan from time to time.
