At the previous job site, we moved a 3-metric-ton drilling rig about 130 meters.
People who aren't familiar with the structure of a core drill or the machine itself won't know how to move it.
For those of you who aren't familiar with anchor work, I'll explain how I moved this time lol.
In this case, the scaffolding was long from side to side, but for now, we’re moving the 3-metric-ton drilling rig and the 2-metric-ton engine unit.
Well, most drilling contractors know this, but large drilling rigs (rotary percussion) can actually move sideways (commonly known as “crab walking”).
People who aren't familiar with it are usually just like ( ﾟдﾟ) totally baffled.
It looks something like this.
Raise the front jack.
Slide the mounting surface.
Next, raise the jack.
Slide the mounting surface.
Slide the entire thing.
This lets you move about 50 centimeters to the side each time! (130 meters seems like an incredibly long distance, doesn't it? lol)
So, I guess that means I basically moved by crab-walking about 260 times, lol.
This is what the mass migration looks like from above.
The distance from the unit to the drilling rig is 20 meters.
This is because the maximum length of the hydraulic hoses connecting the hydraulic unit to the drilling rig is typically around 40 meters.
After all, there's a limit to how much oil a hydraulic unit can hold.
This time, we started up the hydraulic unit and pulled it along using the drill rig’s side-to-side movement.
I placed the inner casing underneath the unit so that it would roll, and then rolled it.
Use a claw jack when inserting the inner casing.
We have two 5-metric-ton jacks, so we slide them into the gaps between the units to jack them up.
Then I inserted the inner casing.
I moved it this way, but you could also put it on rails or pull it with a chill hole.
You can usually figure things out to a certain extent based on the situation on site.
On the way back, if the machines can pass each other, we can just do the same thing again, and
If that doesn't work, I think you could just pull the unit with Chill Hole.
