Unraveling the Brain's Biases!

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Hammer Drill

A Must-Have for Slope Workers!

Hammer Drill!!

These are the standard 100V model and the charger type.

With just this and a small generator, you could set up a slope-construction business for the time being, lol.

I bought this because HITACHI is known for its reliability.

How do you all decide when you're shopping or choosing a contractor?

The reason I bought this Hitachi hammer drill is that I had owned a Hitachi one before.

Basically, I figured it would be a hassle to buy a new hammer drill, so I just went with the same one lol.

After all, from the manufacturer's perspective, there are no issues, and we're well aware of the product's performance.

And, above all, I’m falling prey to confirmation bias.

What Is Confirmation Bias?

A term used in cognitive and social psychology that refers to the tendency to gather only information that supports a hypothesis or belief while ignoring or failing to seek out information that contradicts it. It is a type of cognitive bias. It is also known that, as a result, people tend to overestimate the probability of rare events occurring.

Wikipedia: Confirmation Bias

We all have a desire to believe that our own thoughts are correct and to have others acknowledge them. We also tend to believe, rather than doubt, things that come easily to mind.

I bought a Hitachi because I’d bought one before and it turned out to be a good choice.

And I decided that since it’s made by Hitachi, it must be reliable. (I believe I’m right.)

But here's the thing. Since that would have meant I'd stop thinking about it, I went ahead and bought one of those charger types, too!

I keep hearing people say things like, “You can’t use it in public,” or “The battery dies right away.”

However,A picture is worth a thousand words. That's it!

My failures are my greatest assets! lol (Just making excuses.)

Battery technology has come a long way, so I do think it's about time.

It looks like you can drill about 20 holes measuring φ25 × 60 mm.

To keep my mind active, I’m going to take a slightly more adventurous approach even to shopping like this!

I don't usually buy this, but I'll give it a try just for the heck of it.

We always use Team A for construction, but this is the first time we're trying Team B.

I usually buy materials from Company C, but this time I'll buy them from Company D.

There are so many things you won't know until you try them.

If you try switching to a different construction crew, it might work out in some cases.

You might fail sometimes.

Failures stem from issues with construction management capabilities. (In some cases, the construction crew’s skills may also be lacking.)

In most cases, failure results from an inability to accommodate a wide variety of people.

That's because most on-site mistakes stem from a lack of communication.

To hone that skill, you should work with a variety of artisans.

I'm going to buy some ingredients I haven't used before.

If that doesn't work, you can just make some more improvements.

My ownBrain biases are also correctedLet's get started!

Keep thinking and keep moving so you don't stop thinking. Stimulate your brain!

See you later.
