Windows 11 Upgrade | Checking If PCs in the Construction Industry Are Compatible

Hello, everyone

This is Enta.

Win11

The other day, I upgraded my business laptop to Windows 11!

I still haven't set up my main work computer lol

I'll give it a try on my business trip for now, just to see if the other company's software works properly, lol.

For example, stability analysis software and cost estimation software.

CAD is running just fine, lol.

I plan to check for any issues with the other software I'm using and install it on my main PC as soon as possible.

Well, to be honest, it's not just software issues—we've also identified problems with the PCs themselves, but,

Since recent versions of Windows have far fewer errors than they used to, I don't think there will be any particular problems.

To get right to the point, we’re at a point where we simply can’t do our jobs without Windows, so it’s pretty much a given, isn’t it?

Of course, there are some die-hards out there who say, “My OS is Mac!” (Though I have no idea if you can even submit files electronically, lol.)

If you work in the construction industry in Japan, Windows is probably the main operating system you'll use.

At the end of the day, it’s best for us to just go with the flow, right? lol

Especially when it comes to paperwork.

Since everyone uses Windows, sharing documents is easy, and there are almost no character encoding issues.

Besides, are there really any companies that use other operating systems for their design and cost-estimation software??

Since I've only ever used Windows, I can't really compare, but it's pretty much the same as Windows, right?

That means I have no choice but to go with Windows 11, so,

I figure I'll have to update sooner or later, so I might as well get it done while I still can, lol.

Well, as long as it gets the job done, any OS will do, right? lol

After all, the point is to use a PC for work, right?

I took the plunge and upgraded, but,

Anyway, there haven't been any issues so far, so why don't you all give it a try?? (At your own risk, lol)

It looks different, but other than that, it hasn't changed much.

I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it, lol.

See you later
