The other day, I was running all over looking for a gas station with a portable diesel can lol
It was Sunday, and all the nearby gas stations were closed!
So I ended up calling dozens of gas stations in the area to get some diesel, lol.
(Using a portable gas can because the machine can't be refueled)
These days, they absolutely won't accept refueling with a regular plastic can!
Diesel fuel doesn't catch fire that easily, but it won't work.
Back in the day, even a plain white plastic can would have been fine, though...
The diesel fuel can is a green plastic can like the one in the photo, with "For Diesel Fuel" written on the side. (There are also metal ones.)
As you know, gasoline comes in red metal cans (though there are also stainless steel ones).
Kerosene comes in red or blue plastic cans, right?
It says "For kerosene" on it.
So, you might be wondering, "What about the white ones?" Well, the white plastic cans are for water!
Currently, the Fire Service Act classifies plastic cans into various categories based on their type.
Well, it's true that regulations have become even stricter due to incidents like the gasoline spill.
What's more, when you fill up with gas, they ask you everything from your ID to the purpose of the purchase.
That's the rule, too.
This is how it is stipulated.
It's a hassle, but there's nothing we can do about it.
Occasionally, there are people who make a fuss about things like this, but for us in the construction industry, portable fuel cans are absolutely indispensable!
I think even the people at the gas station can tell we're construction workers just by looking at our work clothes and how dirty we are, lol.
But since it’s part of my job to have them fill out their address, show their ID, and confirm the purpose of use, I guess there’s nothing I can do about it, huh?
Since it's already been decided, all we can do is go along with it!
Be sure to bring a portable fuel can that’s suitable for your intended use when you go to refuel!

It’s really frustrating how hard it is to use a regular canister, isn’t it?
This portable canister is the solution to that problem.
We have a few of these too, but this one is the best.
However, since it's super expensive, there's a good chance it could get stolen!
