There are pros and cons to using sprayed mortar for weed control.

But in reality, sprayed mortar is powerless against the force of a landslide, so it's really scary.

 

I want to take some steps to prevent weeds for now, but what should I do?

Weed control measures that take into account factors such as internal scouring, as mentioned in my previous post.

In my experience, when dealing with relatively loose natural ground—such as embankments or areas with loose soil—we install a Porao pipe to drain water from deep within.

In addition, do not install the drainage pipes typically used with sprayed mortar.

I think this might be the best option.

We drive pipes like these into the natural ground.

A length of about 1 meter is sufficient.

I think this product is really well-made, so I recommend it lol

Install a drain pipe (porous pipe) approximately 1.0 m long at the bottom only, without installing any other drain pipes.

If you're installing drainage for a sprayed mortar job, it's a good idea to install Stella Sheet.

Ideally, it would be safer to leave about 4.0 meters of space.

 

Since there are residential units above that would impose a load, that should technically be taken into account during the design process (as an overhead load).

Well, if it's just for weed control, we wouldn't go that far, but it does bother us a bit lol.
