What Happens Over Time When Mortar Is Sprayed on Soil Areas as a Weed Control Measure? And What Are the Countermeasures? (Part 3) (For the General Public)

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

What happens over time when mortar is sprayed onto soil areas as a weed control measure? And what are the countermeasures? (Part 1) (For the General Public)

Last time, we got up to injecting the void.

Below is a picture of the painting after the injection was completed.

Let's assume that this fills the gap.

Repair of Existing Sprayed Mortar (Pore Injection)

The important step from here is to drill a hole in the drain pipe.

Drill new holes in the countless drain pipes to drain the water from inside.

There's a possibility that the injection material is clogged, so be sure to

It's a hammer drill, so it's for drilling!

Mortar Sprayer, Drain Pipe

Ideally, you should always use an anti-suck-back agent when spraying on soil and sand surfaces!

Insert a fiber material, such as Stella Sheet, behind the drain pipe.

Doing so will prevent the soil inside from washing away.

For example, a product like this ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

NK Filter: Sediment Control Material for Drainage Pipes

Well, this was before the mortar was sprayed on, wasn't it?

Stella Sheet Anti-Leak Material

Alternatively, you could install a 10 cm × 10 cm Stella sheet behind the drainage pipe, as shown here.

Anti-siphoning material

If you absolutely cannot attach it to the existing mortar, roll up the Stella Sheet tightly, and

There's nothing to do but stick it into the drain pipe.

Still, it's better than nothing.

When doing so, please apply weather-resistant caulk to the surface so that the Stella Sheet adheres to the drain pipe.

If you do that, I don't think the Stella Sheet and the drain pipe (PVC pipe) will become stuck together and come out.

You don't need to caulk the middle section; it's fine as is.
