A few days ago, there were news reports about an incident of violence involving a technical intern.

That really is a terrible story.
We also have a large number of Vietnamese technical interns here.
They are carrying out the slope stabilization and anchor work for our main construction project.
Without them, we couldn't do our jobs.
There's no way they could treat someone that badly!
I really feel like I'm at my wit's end.
Since when did Japanese people become so arrogant?
What's more, the Japanese construction industry today cannot carry out construction projects without foreign technical trainees,
You do realize that doesn't make sense, right?
Some people even refer to it as a form of slavery.
However, while I believe most companies operate properly, some do treat their employees this way.
That's very unfortunate.
They're definitely here to make money!
That's true.
It's less about technical training and more about the "Japanese Dream."
Come to Japan to work and earn money, and send money back to their families in their home country.
So that my family can have a better life, even if just a little!
And I've come to Japan to get a better job in the future.
Personally, I think that's normal. It's just common sense, right?
On top of that, they're working hard here in a foreign country.
I think it’s healthier for Japanese people to cheer them on, don’t you think?
There's really no need to go out of your way to pick on them.
They provide us with labor, and we compensate them with technology and wages.
That's all there is to it.
It should have been enough just to do that, but I really can't forgive them for doing something so cruel.
Presumably, this company will face some form of punishment, but
More importantly, what will happen to this victim from now on?
That's something to think about.
We'd like to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future, wouldn't we?
If something like this were to happen at our company or another company, I’d film it and report it to the Labor Standards Office!
I hope that by addressing any shortcomings—including our own—we can work together to create a better work environment for everyone.
And one thing we must never forget is that, for us as a company, our employees are everything!
It doesn't matter whether they're Japanese or foreign.
A company is its people!
