Hello, everyone.
This is Enta.
The rainy season started all of a sudden, didn't it?
The Tokai region has entered the rainy season at the second-earliest date on record, reportedly 25 days earlier than last year.

That came out of nowhere, didn't it?
Because of this, I'm really worried that my plans for this week might get thrown off track.
This week, we're unveiling the mini seeder we made last week.
If it's rain, then...
The unveiling is fine, but I'm worried people will start asking, "Can it actually spray seeds??"
If this were a standard vegetation engineering project, a little rain wouldn't be a problem, but it's a problem with seed spraying.
There's a chance it might wash away.
Even if you use a lot of glue, it'll just get washed away by the rain and that'll be the end of it.
Thanks to this project, I learned a little bit.
It's the seed mix, lol (Don't you know that?)
You might think that, but even though I have over 25 years of experience with slope stabilization, I’ve only performed seed spraying about twice, as far as I can remember.
One of them was a golf course in Kurosaki, Kitakyushu, that I visited back when I was working at the Kyushu Branch.
The other project is a wind farm in Aoyama, Mie Prefecture.
This is the only part I remember lol
Besides, all I remember is staying there for a few days to cheer on my senior and doing some surveying.
Surveying golf courses, in particular, was a total nightmare lol (I never want to do that again).
I hadn't paid any attention to the ingredients before, so this time I made sure to check them carefully.
| Materials Used | Usage (per 100 m²) | |
| Seeds | Formulation Tailored to the Target Community | 1 set (○ types combined) |
| Fertilizer | Compound Fertilizer (15-15-15) | 7.5–10 kg |
| Fiber | 10 kg | |
| Erosion Control Material | Water-soluble polymers | 0.1 kg |
| Synthetic Resins and Polymer Resin Emulsions | 4–8 kg | |
| Food Coloring | 0.1 kg | |
| Water Use | 200 L | |
The above is the standard formulation.
The source is listed in Koda Trading's 2021 Comprehensive Landscaping Catalog.
The mini seeder we built this time is designed for a 2 m³ tank, so it holds 2,000 L. Since that’s simply 10 times the capacity, we expect to be able to spray 1,000 m² in a single pass.
It’s not that I wouldn’t do landscaping at all, but since I didn’t have a cedar tree until now, I didn’t go out of my way to do it—but I’m planning to start doing it from now on lol.
See you later.
