I think I introduced this a while back—it’s an oil additive.
We also use grease here.
Since I started using this additive in the engine oil for my Percussion and other vehicles, they've been running great.
It's a large engine, so it's a little hard to tell, but there haven't been any problems so far.
It works quite well on small engines and significantly reduces engine noise.
This is especially true if the equipment hasn't been well-maintained up to this point.
We’ve been testing it for a while, but now we’re rolling it out in earnest.
The additive itself is quite expensive, but I think it's very effective.
As long as there are no machine problems, it’ll actually be a bargain in the end.
It'll keep running for a while even without engine oil, right? lol
I bought both the machine version and the car version.
I'd like to make sure my machines last as long as possible, even with just a little care.
But that's beside the point.
June is packed with safety meetings.
Company Safety Meetings
No, it's fine.
It's not that safety meetings are a bad thing, but wouldn't it be better if all the companies in the area got together and held them collectively?
I know I'll probably get in trouble for writing this (lol), but...
I’m grateful just to be invited by the various general contractors, but...
It all tends to pile up around this time of year, doesn't it?
Well, that's all well and good, but there are employees from various companies attending this safety conference.
If that employee was the site representative or chief engineer at the time, work on the site would come to a halt, right?
Basically, one of them is always on duty.
That means we’d have to halt work on-site just to attend the safety meeting.
In this case, temporarily transfer (delegate) supervisory responsibility to someone who is qualified to serve as the chief engineer or similar role for that day only, and
I've heard that it's possible to do this, but is it legally permissible??
If an accident were to occur, I suppose the on-site representative and the chief engineer would be held responsible...
I’d like to check with the Labor Standards Office about this.
Even when the site is in a critical situation, since safety meetings are a top priority, I suppose I should go, but,
The general contractor on site wouldn't let that slide, would they? (lol)
Plus, if I just write here that I’ve been kind of busy lately as an excuse... lol
There are safety meetings that are interesting and those that aren't.
Are your company's safety meetings interesting?
As far as I know, there are two companies that are pretty interesting.
We bring in comedians to make safety talks fun, and we even hold huge bingo tournaments, lol.
Social gatherings in places like that are so much fun, aren't they?
It has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and it doesn't seem like accidents would happen here. (That doesn't mean people are just going through the motions, though.)
Ultimately, I think that if the atmosphere on the job site is good, the accident rate tends to be lower.
It's all about communication. The director's instructions are clearly conveyed, and the artisans' intentions are also clearly conveyed.
Ultimately, it comes down to the kind of communication that comes up often on this blog.
If we held an engaging seminar on communication skills during the safety conference, it seems like that would improve safety rates, doesn't it?
When it comes to work, everyone here is a pro, but if I had to say, I might be a little less skilled at communicating things.
