Did you know you can do that pretty easily? lol

The key is that it's "rough," but I can't be exact.

That's because the data from borehole surveys is primarily collected in the form of core samples.

Unless the soil sample is in the form of an undisturbed column, it will not be considered a valid sample.

As I've mentioned before, slime is not a soil sample.

So, the other day, I tried it out at a job site.

Of course, it's rotary percussion.

I had purchased a special core tube. It's time to try it out!

The mechanism works by inserting a plastic bag into the tube; as you rotate and push it, soil samples are collected inside the bag.

Add water little by little—just enough to prevent the diamond blade from wearing down due to friction.

If we can cover about 4 to 6 meters a day, that’s a good day; in the worst-case scenario, we’ll really come to a standstill.

 

And the result was a failure.

 

That didn't work out, did it? (lol) As expected, it's not spinning fast enough!

Rotary drilling machines operate at quite high speeds.

It spins at about three to five times the speed of a rotary percussion instrument.

Because it cuts through the mountain while pushing forward at such a high speed, the core comes out cleanly.

Since rotary percussion rotates slowly, it pushes while shaving away the material with the blade, which causes it to become uneven.

 

To be honest, I thought it would go a little better, but it was a total failure.

Finally, while packing the core into the outer casing, we pulled it up every 0.5 meters, and

I changed my approach to removing the slime from inside the casing. I had no choice but to do so...

 

This isn't about what happened the other day, but this really is a case of "leave it to the experts," isn't it? (lol)

But I can't just give up here, so if another opportunity comes along, I'll give it another shot.

It seems that you can adjust the rotational speed by replacing the orbit motor on the drill, but this is not recommended by the manufacturer.

Honestly, it seems like it would be better to just buy a rotary drilling machine instead of changing that part, lol.

We compiled the preliminary sampling data, reference samples, and reports and submitted them to the general contractor.

I guess the timing of the launch will depend on what the government and the consultants decide, lol.

To be honest, I really hope it's way late...
