This is Enta.
I converted the design from the cardboard box I had the other day into a 3D CAD model and headed to the hardware store first thing this morning.
I'm going to buy this steel plate (T8 × 100 mm) and machine it.
(We have a partner metalworking shop, so the dimensions and fit are perfect!)

I'll take this to the metal bender next.
At first, I was thinking of using pipe, but due to size issues, I decided to go with a bend instead.
Bending is definitely more expensive, though lol (the effort involved in bending a flat sheet to make a circle).

By the way, this metal-bending shop is a hotbed of incredibly skilled craftsmen who get orders from all over the country! lol

Cut out the section of this 8 mm steel plate that will form the flange.
This steel plate is 1 meter long, so since I don't have a band saw big enough for it, I'll cut it with a gas torch.

Place the metal plate where you want to cut, and slide it carefully to make a clean, straight cut.
(The burner wasn't working right this time, so I couldn't get a clean cut, and on top of that, the flame adjustment was acting weird, which was a pain lol)

I cut it out like this.
I used a metal saw to cut the melted part that resulted from the gas cutting, but...
The blade broke halfway through, lol.

As a result, it has become difficult to continue working from here, so we have moved to a location near our officeWakazono ManufacturingI'm bringing it in! lol

Make a hole in the ear area.
It's a really mundane task, lol.
That said, drilling holes in metal is actually one of the easier tasks.
With other materials (other than iron), they’re either incredibly hard or incredibly soft, which makes things really difficult.
In a way, iron is the easiest to work with.

All that's left is the welding, but I'll leave that to the pros lol
I did the welding for the bent parts using a semi-automatic welder, but as expected, welding in tight spaces is difficult.
The quality was on a whole different level compared to us, who only weld once in a while lol

I put it together.
This is the kind of atmosphere it has.

It's designed so that the casing locks when it's suspended.
I did the vertical weld after the bending process lol. Please don't look lol.

It looks just as good as the CAD drawing. (Well, that’s how I made it, lol.)
The nut has been welded in place to prevent the bolt and nut from coming loose.
Make sure it won't come loose under any circumstances, even due to vibrations.

It looks pretty bad when it rusts, so I went ahead and painted it for now lol
This is basically finished for now, but I'll make some adjustments after trying it out on site.
Of course, I'm basing this on some speculation, so,Balancing Imagination and RealityYou need to do this.
Doing this will make it even more perfect.
If we don't get it just right, there's a risk of an accident.
In particular, please make sure that jigs like these are perfectly aligned with the actual parts.
Another batch of pipes is coming in today, so I plan to cut and adjust them lol.
