Mortar Spraying for Private Homes and Commercial Construction: Part 1 (For the General Public)
I hope you understood the slope cleaning work I mentioned the other day; this time, it’s about installing lath.
Some people on YouTube claim that this last-layer technique increases strength, but that's incorrect.

I can't calculate exactly how much it is.
However, for a certain range of rebar spacing and rebar sizes, I think it’s acceptable to treat them as a simple formwork system. (Based on the concept of a simplified formwork system.)

Regarding the house with the round-stone retaining wall mentioned above, since it was necessary to improve the overall continuity of the structure rather than simply reinforcing or repairing the stonework,
We assembled the rebar, covered it with wire mesh, and installed rebar to prevent collapse.

Since the house was built on old fill and there were concerns about the stability of the stone masonry, we integrated the stone masonry and treated it as a load-bearing structure,
We designed the structure to prevent total collapse by inserting reinforcing bars.
(Just because we're a private company doesn't mean we don't take design seriously.)
It’s very easy to work with because it allows for flexible design approaches that aren’t possible in public projects. (Not that I’m just designing however I please, lol.)
Formwork installation is an essential step, but in cases where the terrain is very rugged or the sprayed surface is too steep (around 90 degrees)
In such cases, you can also use fiber.

By adding fibers, you can achieve results equivalent to—or even better than—those of a lath mesh.
However, since the fibers are surprisingly expensive, even if the lath-and-plaster method were to disappear, the cost of the fiber alone would still be fairly high.
By the way, I recommend inserting as many spacers as possible when installing the last layer.

Because public works contractors carry out this kind of detailed craftsmanship during construction, public structures are guaranteed to meet quality and finish standards.

Even for private construction projects, we strongly recommend that the work be carried out by a public contractor.
