The Significance of Positioning Error Measurement
Since it's a positioning error,How far did it deviate from the initial position (the position I chose)?
That's what this management is all about.
This is definitely not a matter of a pitch discrepancy or anything like that.
Vertical and horizontal pitch refer to pitch.
For example, if the lateral pitch is 2 m, does that mean 2.05 m is a +0.05 m increase?No.

Some people often measure the vertical and horizontal pitch to calculate the error, but that actually serves a different purpose.
Does it make sense?
From the perspective of those doing it, it's pointless, but,
So, from the government's perspective, if it's written down, it must have some meaning, lol.
A long time ago, I couldn't wrap my head around it, so I kept asking the person in charge at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism all sorts of questions, and I even called the Public Works Research Institute and the National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management.
In the end, we never found out why.
The conclusion was that this was likely due to positioning errors caused by misalignment of the centerline in the driven pile work.

Since this is just part of our administrative duties, we have no choice but to do it for now—though we didn't have to do this back in the day, lol.
