I tried to import images taken with the drone I bought the other day into CAD, but for some reason, CAD wasn't working...
Even though it's activated...
Well, I'm not exactly sure what caused it, but I'll put the CAD work on hold for now.
I took a photo of the legal framework at the site.
Before I bought a drone, I thought it would be quite a challenge, but it’s actually pretty easy.
I bought a MAVIC 2 Pro, and it's really easy to use.
It'll probably be a piece of cake in a few hours.
In addition, you'll need some knowledge of drone flight.
(A) Airspace around airports and other facilities
(B) Airspace at an altitude of 150 meters or more above the ground or water surface
(C) Above a densely populated area
Well, since most of the slope-related work we do falls outside of categories A, B, and C, we should be fine.
However, please be aware that if you don't know the basics, things could go wrong.

Since it generally does not require a license or certification, anyone can use it.
For that reason, it’s important to consider what to do in the event of an accident.
For now, I’ve taken out insurance to cover the aircraft itself and to protect against causing harm (injury) to others.
Since I'm still a beginner, I'll just stick with this for now, but I definitely need to get insurance to cover liability toward others.
However, even though I've only used it for one day, it's a very handy tool.
And it's fun!
"You can see the situation on-site at a glance!" In a way, that's pretty revolutionary.
Back when I used to draw geological maps at dam construction sites, I thought it would have been incredibly handy to have something like this. (You could tell just by looking at a single photo.)
At the job site I visited the other day, I didn't actually go up to the site.
That's because I didn't bring my rain boots, and the site was a total mess.
Even so, it feels revolutionary to be able to fly a drone and hold a meeting right there on the spot while looking at the screen!
To be honest, I didn't think I'd be that moved, but I actually was lol (I'm such a softie lol).
It looks like drones are going to become a must-have for slope maintenance workers before long, lol.
I highly recommend this!
It's quite useful on-site, and it works perfectly well for meetings with government officials.
It's great to be able to see the site from above.
