Our machines are quite specialized.
Unlike BHs (backhoes and power shovels), which are typical examples of heavy machinery, all of these are specialized.
You don't really see sprayers and drilling machines together around here.
Sprayers come in different models and years, but they share a lot of common parts, don't they?
Drilling machines vary greatly in terms of parts and other components depending on the manufacturer.
Recently, the prices of replacement parts for machinery have skyrocketed.
You're probably thinking, "No way!" right?
The industry has shrunk so much that we can no longer produce small batches, so we operate almost entirely on a made-to-order basis.
That means, of course, the price will be higher.
This is the result of the construction industry shrinking!
And manufacturers that produce new parts are also disappearing.
Did you know that large hydraulic units aren't actually manufactured in Japan anymore? I was really surprised to hear that.
Right now, labor costs are rising rapidly, but next, equipment depreciation costs will rise even more!
Since we can't manufacture it in Japan, relying on overseas suppliers drives up costs tremendously and adds shipping charges.
And the deadline is...
This is a dynamo, but it broke, so I took it off our engine-powered hydraulic unit the other day and brought it home.
I plan to have this repaired just in case something happens.
In our case, it’s not too bad because we can handle some repairs in-house, but companies that can’t do that end up having to pay a huge amount of money to have repairs done.
There will definitely be more and more cases where repairs just aren't possible!

I have to wait two months just for the rubber diaphragm for the replacement accumulator!
Even though I use it quite a bit!!
For those of you who own your own machinery, securing a repair shop and ensuring a supply of parts is essential!
It's going to get even worse from here on out.
There’s a possibility that we might one day reach a point where we can’t carry out construction work because the mechanical parts don’t arrive, right?
The consequences of past political decisions that treated the construction industry as the villain are now clearly evident here as well, aren't they?
I want to keep the construction industry thriving, but when things like this happen, it’s a bit of a downer lol.
