Such Big Differences Based on Model Numbers | Selecting Construction Equipment

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

I imagine there are times when you have to look for a place to stay, like a ryokan, while you're out and about.

For now, you'd probably just do an online search, right?

That information is posted online, but when I actually called...

"The phone number you dialed is no longer in service."

When I ask around in the Iroiro area, I find that the overwhelming majority of closures are due to the aging population...

There Are No Ryokans in an Aging Society!

If things keep going this way, it looks like I'll end up with an absurd commute that takes more than two hours one way.

I guess even places like this are feeling the effects of an aging population.

Trends in the Aging Population

But that's beside the point.

They differ by model number: the pro model and the home improvement store model

Impact Drill
Makita

I use an impact driver, too.

I like Hitachi, but my coworkers are Makita fans.

And there are similar products sold at home improvement stores and places like that, right?

And above all, the price is different.

It's actually pretty cheap, isn't it? (lol)

Washlet
TOTO

This restroom is no exception.

It's way cheaper than regular companies, isn't it?

There's actually a reason for this.

There aren't any replacement parts.

In short,If it breaks, it can't be repaired. That's the point.

Apparently, the difference between this and the genuine product is that the model number has one fewer digit—which seems to be typical of home improvement store models.

Since it's the kind of thing you just replace when it breaks, there's no need to make replacement parts, which is why it's so cheap.

That way, you don't have to carry excess inventory.

If you're looking for the lowest price above all else, I recommend the home improvement store model.

No, no—if you're the type who prefers items that can be repaired if they break, I recommend buying them at a professional-grade hardware store.

I can't say which one is better, but I buy the professional-grade version because I feel like it lasts longer.

*This means that, in reality, the structure and components used differ between professional and amateur models.

See you later.

  1. Wow! That was really informative.

      Thank you as always.

Quite a few people aren't aware of this, so please be careful.

I can't really say which one is better, but if you look at the manufacturer's general catalog, you can tell by the model number.
If it's not listed, it's for Amazon.

If it's in the home improvement store catalog, then it's definitely a home improvement store model, lol.
