There's something that's been on my mind lately.
That isME and SAAM!
Did you know?
It seems that "ME" is an abbreviation for "Maintenance Expert."
SAAM stands for the SAAM System (Sustainable Asset Anchor Maintenance System)
Regarding the ground anchor method, which is widely used as a primary measure for slope stabilization,
We view Anchor as one of the vital social assets that protect our lives, and
The goal is to ensure the sustainable maintenance of the Anchor slope through asset management.
I think this is the next step in conservation, based on future infrastructure development.
How can we maintain what we've installed for as long as possible?
It seems to be a meeting to discuss how to manage things.
It seems that both associations operate based on sound theories.
I don't know much about it either, but when I look at the members, it seems there are more consulting firms than construction companies?
Is it just that the theory is getting ahead of everything else?
You can kind of see that coming through here and there, lol, but it's got me curious for now.
It really does feel like it’s just a hollow formality without the people actually doing the work—isn’t it just a theory that doesn’t hold up in practice?
Even though I think that, I still see them all the time at trade shows, lol.
However, I think that when we combine theoretical ideas with feedback from the field, we can uncover the facts and both sides end up saying, “Ah, I see!”
That's exactly why I can't stop thinking about it lol
After all, trying new things is fun, isn't it?
I think that by learning things I didn't know before, I can gain a deeper understanding of the essence of things.
So, I'm curious lol (I like new stuff)
To put it simply, from our perspective as slope stabilization contractors, I think this association is dedicated to monitoring the residual tension in ground anchor systems and ensuring they remain effective for as long as possible.
They really seem like experts in that field.
Once we get to know each other a little better, I'd love for you to tell me all about it.
I guess there’s hardly ever an opening for small-time contractors like us to get involved, but at the end of the day, we’re the ones actually doing the work, lol.
