The other day, something happened that made me go, “Huh?!”
I called a certain supplier.
That product was featured in the design, so I called the company that makes it.
ThenWe will be closing our business at the end of March.And then they said, “Well, since…”
I was told to make design changes based on other similar products.
Has the recession finally hit even the hardware stores!?
It’s been said since last year, but the number of bankruptcies is expected to rise even more this year than last year.
This is because, due to the surge in construction costs, the passing on of price increases to subcontractors is delayed.
The general contractor accepts the project at the increased price as is, but subcontractors can’t do the same.
In some cases, there are even contractors who aren't aware that the price has gone up. (Especially those who charge by the job.)
Even though production costs are rising, suppliers are unable to raise their prices and are going out of business...
We're heading into a time when even materials are going to be a problem!
Small and medium-sized contractor firms like ours are in big trouble if we don't steadily raise our prices (unit rates)!
With the overtime restrictions taking effect in April, I wonder how things will turn out...
Let's go all out until the end of the fiscal year (even though there's not much work, lol) and head into the new fiscal year!
