Suspended drilling will begin in the Kanto region starting next week.
We've been making adjustments based on that plan since last week.

The parts that tend to fail most often on hoist-type drilling rigs are the centers (wear parts at the tip) and the surrounding bolts and nuts.
The vibrations from the rock drill cause things to loosen in various places, don't they?
What do you do in situations like that?
Like using double nuts, or securing the threads with wire? lol
My recommendation is Loctite.
Since this is a 243—which is medium-strength—you can force it open if worst comes to worst.
By "forceful," I mean something like going all out with a big P-REN or a Monkey.
Think of applying just a little bit—not too much.

The vibrations from rock drills just send bolts and nuts flying everywhere, lol.
Even though people know it’s going to fly away, surprisingly few of them take precautions...
This time, I gave a young person some Neji-Lock 243.
I think this will drastically reduce screw-related problems.
I ordered a half bushing, but the manufacturer is out of stock. (Delivery time: 1 month)
But it's necessary.

So, I happened to find some S45C (material type) of a similar size at the office...
I kept shaving it down, adjusting as I went, while working to the actual dimensions.

Actually, I messed up the height on one of them, so I had to redo it lol
Time-wise, it takes a full day to make just one.
Well, it took some time to take measurements and make adjustments.

The holes were slightly misaligned, but I managed to get it installed.
I forgot to bake them at the very last minute, so I baked them a few days later and shipped them out.
Since we're using this in-house, the accuracy and finish don't have to be perfect, but
I really want to make the next one look even better, so I guess I really do want an NC milling machine.
But now, even in areas like this, the wave of rising material costs is hitting us!!?
I think this part used to cost around 40,000 yen.
And now it's 70,000!!!!
70,000 for supplies!!
What's more, it seems they don't keep any inventory at all—it's almost as if they operate strictly on a made-to-order basis.
(I don't know the inside story, though.)
It's fine if we can create it in-house to some extent, but if we can't, we'll have to wait.
It looks like we'll have to start making various arrangements at least a month in advance, or we won't be able to make it in time...
We're living in terrifying times.
Since we're on a job site, we never know what might happen at any moment, so we keep spare parts on hand—but it's pretty difficult to do that a month in advance.
In the worst-case scenario, if this site disappears, what are we going to do about that? ...
In that case, we’ll have no choice but to reflect that in the unit price, right…?
