Grease Areas You Don't Usually Grease | Maintenance Tips

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Spring Drill 40II

The other day, I was servicing the spring drill.

It's just the rear chain that gets loose.

So, when I asked the manufacturer, they said, “Could it be that the bearing on the sprocket (the chain wheel) at the tip isn’t moving properly?”

So, let's take it apart.

Since I’ve only had this product for about two years, I wondered, “Is it really that worn out already?” but this part, for example, is actually prone to running out of grease.

As is the case with drilling machines and sprayers, there are quite a few places where the grease has run out.

That's a spot where it's hard to apply grease, isn't it?

Although this sprocket is located in a spot that’s relatively easy to access, it’s often not in place.

The reason for this is that even if you use it extremely infrequently, it doesn't really cause any problems.

So this is the part I don't apply once a day.

You replace the hammer and swivel parts on the machine pretty often, don't you?

Also, you put the blades back on the sprayer every day, right?

It’s best to include these kinds of sections fairly often, as doing so minimizes wear and tear, and if they’re omitted, the resulting issues become much easier to spot.

That's why users are careful when they put it in.

However, because we don't include parts that aren't very important, they rust, stop working, wear out, and eventually break.

That said, if you can manage to pump it just once a day, it’ll keep running smoothly. (To be honest, even once a week is fine, though.)

Greasing

It’s especially hard to deal with when parts like the axles get rusty, so it’s best to apply it whenever possible.

When you think, “I’m going to lube it up today!” make sure to really go all out.

Focus especially on the areas where you don't usually go much.

Doing so will significantly improve maintainability.

See you later.
