Whether it's household appliances or slope-construction equipment, regular inspections and maintenance improve cost-effectiveness!

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

This has absolutely nothing to do with slopes, but do any of you use an EcoCute at home?

EcoCute

Apparently, this needs to be inspected and cleaned about twice a year, and since the maintenance crew told me so, I decided to give it a try this time.

Our EcoCute was manufactured in 2012, and we haven't done it even once since then lol

Well, it's about time it reached the end of its lifespan, but I figured I'd give it a try at least once.

It's very easy to do, and

1. Turn off the power

2. Turn off the water supply valve

3. Raise the pressure relief valve

4. Open the drain

That's it.

The exact location may vary slightly depending on the manufacturer and specifications, but this should work.

Here's the drainage status of our EcoCute.

At first, I thought this was the correct setup, but it turns out the black valve at the bottom is actually for draining the main unit.

The valve marked with a red circle is the tank's drain valve.

Turn this to drain the hot water from the tank.

The yellow circle indicates the water supply valve, so that's where you turn it off in step 2.

Apparently, you just need to let the water drain for about 2 minutes.

I've heard that pouring water from above is the best way to remove dirt, but,

I didn't quite understand it this time, so I'm thinking of giving it a try next time.

Since I want to use things for as long as possible, it’s best to do at least a little maintenance.

After cleaning, when I turned on the hot water at home, there was a sound like a fart and the air made a "bubble-bubble" noise, but after a while...

It's working normally again.

I'm not sure if it actually looks better, but I feel like it's improved somehow lol

I'm thinking I might give Java a try next time.

Inspection and maintenance of machinery—including the equipment we use in our slope stabilization work—is extremely important.

If you take good care of it on a regular basis, you’ll extend its lifespan and get more value for your money!

Let's make sure to check everything thoroughly!

See you later.
