How to Conduct Suitability Tests for Ground Anchor Construction

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Please allow me to post two more popular articles on ground anchor construction testing.

Just reposting from Ameblo, lol

But that's beside the point.

I've always wondered about this, and I just thought, "Yeah, this really is weird, isn't it?"

Fixed Points for Tension Control of Ground Anchors

You can't get a perfect score, right!?

And one more thing

A dial gauge isn't any good, is it!?

Probably,As if it were the most natural thing in the world, you set the dial gauge at the fixed point and measure the displacement of the head from there. But...

In my experience, well, first of all...

1: It's virtually impossible to find a fixed point!

2: Dial gauges can't be trusted!

First, 1.It's virtually impossible to get a perfect score! However,

We're setting up tension scaffolding on a slope to manage the tension, but where can we create fixed points?

Even if I make a tripod out of a single pipe that's about 2 meters long...

Realistically speaking, it’s very difficult, isn’t it? And it’s very time-consuming, isn’t it?

If you attach it to the scaffolding you're standing on, it won't stay in place, right?

If I walk slowly and carefully... I'm not even standing still anymore lol

Even if you just stick some single-wall pipes into the slope and put them together, they still kind of move, don't they? lol

If you clamp the frame to the frame itself, there's a chance it might sag, right?

Fixed points are really hard.Right? lol

Next, No. 2:Dial gauges can't be trusted!However,

A dial gauge is mounted on the anchor head from a fixed point to measure displacement, right?

As I start to get nervous,FunyaDoesn't it tend to shift to the side a little?

Since the anchor head moves along with the PC strand,With a soft "funya" and...Does it tip over or anything? lol

I've always been that way, and because of that, many times...FrustrationI was doing that.

Furthermore, the dial gauge is connected to the anchor head (the jack body) andIt's pointless unless they're installed parallel to each other. That's the way it is.
I think the photo above shows it parallel to the jack when viewed from the side, but when viewed from above,

So it's tilted slightly.

Furthermore, if the gauge is too small, the steel wire will come into contact with it and cause it to move, and because there is so little space on the anchor head to set the dial gauge,

In some cases, the tip of the gauge may, during measurement,Thud...and it falls.

This really is a pain, but the question is, "So what are we supposed to do?"

But that's a story for next time, lol

The Iwakura Cherry Blossom Festival is currently in full swing, but it’s not actually the cherry blossom festival yet.

It's the Bud Festival!
