A Great Find (Neck Pillow) | The Slope Specialist's Business Trip

Hello, everyone.

This is Enta.

Lately, I've been out on site more often, so I've had more chances to ride in the passenger seat.

I'm really grateful to the young person who's driving for me.

That's where a neck pillow really comes in handy!!

Basically, it's a neck pillow, lol.

I feel bad for the driver, but I think it’s better to get a good night’s sleep and be well-rested for work than to stay awake.

When I'm driving, I let them sleep as much as they want.

It's better than forcing myself to get up and push through, lol.

Neck Pillow

So, for those who aren't driving, a neck pillow is a great way to get a good night's sleep—but it can be hard to know which one to choose, right?

I’ve given this neck pillow a lot of thought, and I’d like to share the results of my analysis of what really matters.

1. Texture

This is really important. If this isn't right, it's hard to sleep lol.

With vinyl-like materials, you tend to sweat or feel stuffy.

2. Cushioning

Without this, the firmness makes it hard to sleep.

3. Fit

This is a bit tricky because it varies quite a bit depending on neck length, but it’s better if it’s adjustable.

Considering all of the above, and on top of that, my workplace is practically in the mountains!

My head sways from side to side as I travel along unpaved paths and drive on winding roads.

That makes it hard to sleep, doesn't it?

That's exactly why, if you can keep your neck properly supported, you'll sleep soundly!

What that means is that a neck pillow that feels good against the skin, is cushioned, and fits well is the best choice.

Here it is!

U-Shaped Neck Pillow

This is an air-filled pump; air is injected by pumping the pump (the slightly bulging part).

You can adjust the cushioning and fit by inflating it.

It has a thin, brushed texture that feels silky smooth to the touch, so it feels great.

The inner and outer layers can be separated, so it's machine washable.

Also, when I want a firm ride (like when the car sways from side to side on mountain roads), I inflate the tires a bit more, and when driving on the highway, I let a little air out to make the ride softer.

When the chair is fully reclined, you can use it as a pillow, so you can adjust its height accordingly.

The reason why the air-type is better is that low-resilience materials like sponge tend to sink in quite a bit.

The grip just isn't very good.

However, in the case of air, the amount it sinks is limited as long as the valve is closed.

Since you can adjust the amount, I'd definitely recommend using air.

I've bought quite a few neck pillows over the years, but this one is really great.

When it's in the way, I deflate it until it's flat as a pancake and put it in my bag.

Make sure to get a good night's sleep in the car on your commute.

And let's do our best at work!

See you later
